Are residents of D.C., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, etc. victims of "no taxation w/o representation"?

More than 1 million U.S. citizens have no Senate representatives and are "represented" in the House by a non-voting delegate. These include tax-paying Americans that live in D.C, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Isnt' this a violation of the basic principles of our country?

They are all US citizens who choose to live in these districts. There are many benefits. Much of DC budget paid through feds including roads and schools. Puerto Ricans living in Puerto Rico, but only native born, are exempt from federal income tax but receive full welfare and SS benefits. Only a minority want to have independence or full statehood with the taxation that goes along with it.
Reply:interesting question... it would seem like it...
Reply:Are you kidding? They don't pay federal taxes... All the perks of being an American citizen, no taxes!
