How can I increase the possible capacity on my laptop's hard drive (c:)?

Laptop is a Compaq Presario 1600.

The (c:) disk has a low capacity of 5.58 GB.

About 5.48 GB is used on the (c:) disk.

I use several programs, including iTunes, and I do not know about several programs or files on my computer.

My laptop currently has only one usb port.

How can I increase the possible capacity on my laptop's hard drive (c:)?
Get a bigger hard drive. You can get a 40 gig hard drive for about 60 bucks for a laptop. You can uninstall any programs you don't use by going to Start%26gt;Settings%26gt;Control Panel and opening Add/Remove Programs. If you don't know what it is, then you probably don't use it or need it.
Reply:Goto your control panel and double click on add/remove programs go through the list of programs that's on there and uninstall the ones that you don't use.
Reply:delete all the **** u dont need and maybe get another hardeive
Reply:well i would recomend purchasing a larger hadrive off of newegg.com. but if u dont want to do that u could compress the drive. (right click on c: icon in my computer and click properties) then click compress drive to save space) thats if u have xp. something u will wanna no though is that if something were to happen such as loss of data. its harder to recover compressed data.
Reply:eliminate anything you dont need on it.....if you dont want to do that, you probably are going to need a new harddrive....
Reply:no problem , buy a extended usb cable which has four extra usb ports, connect a external hard disk to that ports, and u can use any other devices to the remaining ports , and enjoy

u can connect for one usb port like that with exteended ports upto 128 devices, 1 usb port - 128 devices
